Erme Valley Riding for the Disabled Group is a unique equestrian facility in the South Hams area of Devon that strives to give disabled people of all ages the opportunity to both enjoy the sheer exhilaration and the therapeutic benefits of horse riding and equestrian association, in a safe and structured environment.Our very special horses, not to mention our highly trained staff, will help you or your child to have a tremendous amount of fun in a completely safe environment.

A member of the Riding for the Disabled Association, and accredited by BHS and ABRS, Erme Valley Riding for the Disabled Group exists to give disabled people of all ages the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of riding. Now in its 40th year, Erme Valley currently teach around 160 individual riders, each with physical, cognitive, sensory or social disorders.The current venue, The Brook, has been in operation for 16 years and is a non commercial organisation, relying totally on donations and support from the local community, and currently gives nearly 4,000 rides each year. An army of 180 volunteer helpers assist with rides and lessons, sometimes three to each disabled rider.
